Terms of service

The short version

YUM is a shared meal calendar. You add what you are cooking; the friends, brands, and Monster accounts you follow can be seen in your feed. That is the whole service.

Your account

You sign in with Google, Apple or Facebook. You are responsible for what you post and for keeping your sign-in secure. You must be 16 or older to use YUM.

Friends

Anyone holding your friend code can ask to be your friend, but they only see your meals once you accept. You can remove a friend at any time, and they are not told when you do.

What you post

Keep it to meals. Do not post anything unlawful, hateful, or that harasses another person. We may remove content or accounts that do.

What you post stays yours

You keep ownership of the meals and photos you post. By posting them, you give us permission to store and display them inside YUM — to your friends, to your family group, and in the feed — for as long as your account exists. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except where a meal has already been posted to a family member’s own account through a family vote, which is theirs from that point on. We do not use your content anywhere outside YUM.

Brand content and Monster accounts

Some accounts represent brands, and some meals are generated automatically by our Monster accounts or from a brand’s product list — these are always labelled. We do not check whether a brand’s product information, including any allergen or ingredient details, is accurate or current; that responsibility sits with the brand. Some meals link out to a store or delivery app so you can buy ingredients — that is a separate service with its own terms. We are not the seller, and we are not responsible for price, stock, delivery, or anything else that happens once you leave YUM.

Family

You can share a meal you see with your family. If everyone votes yes, it is posted on each family member’s own account. Sharing a meal this way means you are vouching for it to your family — we are not responsible for that decision.

Food and allergies

YUM is a place to share meal ideas, not a source of nutrition or allergen advice. We do not check ingredients, allergens, or nutritional information for anything posted or suggested here, including meals from brands or Monster accounts. If you have an allergy or a dietary restriction, check the packaging or ask the seller directly before you buy or eat anything. We are not responsible for any reaction, illness, or other harm from food you make or buy based on something you saw on YUM.

Objectionable content and abusive users

There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You can report any meal or person from the ⋮ menu on their profile or on the meal itself, and you can block anyone — blocking hides you from each other everywhere in YUM. We review every report within 24 hours and remove content or accounts that break these terms.

Ending it

You can remove any friend at any time, and delete your account from the You tab. Deleting your account removes your profile and every meal you have posted. If you cannot sign in, ask at yum.monster/support and we will do it for you.

No warranty

YUM is provided as-is. We do not guarantee it will be available without interruption, and we are not liable for meal plans that do not work out, or for any food-related outcome covered above.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Romania.
